Profiting off religion.

What you do think of certain theists profiting off their religion, like Gospel music and films, mega-churches and the Catholic Church?

If they are true religious

If they are true religious people i see no harm why not making money out of what you believe and love. But those who use religion to make money out of fooling people and taking advantage of their faith....just plain disgusting

If you look for financial

If you look for financial help from your community to honestly use it for improving your establishments then i see no harm. But those that sell salvation to people in the form of products and promises of miracles are completely insane people.

Profit from religion goes

Profit from religion goes back to the very beginnings of the church. Like it was mentioned before my comment, if the money is used to enhance the locations in which people gather for their religious beliefs, then it's ok. But if you use their hopes and their faith to get rich, you are scum.

This is one of the main

This is one of the main reasons why I see benefit of being involved with church - there is money in it! Being involved in a church for networking purposes is even ideal because now you have a foundation for spreading your business or hosted activities. It's like a big "word of mouth" party. This is one of the reasons why I am envious of church goers - they have a large network!

I remember seeing this

I remember reading about a cult in spain that sells this necklaces with powers that are supposed to cleanse you and your family from all bad things and bring fortune. The worst part is that many people in need are more likely to fall for such scams.

When people are in desperate

When people are in desperate need for help they will usually believe in almost anything.

Christianity is a profit

Christianity is a profit-driven criminal enterprise, and in a just world the Department of Justice would use the RICO act to take them all down. And then make them pay taxes if they get involved in politics or education or science or medicine.
