Where are all the atheists in Indiana?

Where are all of the atheists in Indiana? I know I cannot be the only one, but it sure seems that way. I cannot be the only one stuck in the bible belt here. It seems like the entire state has lost it's mind, if it ever had it at all. Does anyone know of any good places where other like minded people can be found in Indianapolis area by chance? I do not have time to spend out often but it would sure be nice to know of one place to go when I do get a chance where I will not be looked at like I am an alien just because I do not believe in fairy tales. Idea anyone?

When I lived in Kentucky I took great entertainment from being atheist. When I sneezed, people who knew me as atheist had to think a moment about what to say and just decided to wish me luck. I asked why because I had not contracted the Bubonic Plague. After explaining that, they were then at a total loss for anything at all to say after any person sneezed. For me, when someone sneezed I'd simply make a request that they announce it next time. It was all in good humor.

People in the bible belt are funny, though. It's not so much ardent theism as it is a badge and/or a ticket to an income. There are churches everywhere, literally, and seemingly more so than the locality demographics can support. Yet, the people themselves really aren't devout. Sunday is ceremonially observed and then it's back to business as usual, same day.

BTW, fairy tales, as you put it, are the memes most people subscribe to that sport purpose in their lives. It might be a belly laugh to some but otherwise it's a life support system to the majority. Chances are the intellect that subscribes to it and abides by its manifold doctrines would be an unsavory street gang without it. That's why it was created in the first place; to control the mob mentality.

Googling keywords: atheist,

Googling keywords: atheist, humanist, freethinker, secularism, non-believers, Brights, or 'skeptics-in-the-pub' should produce something. I got this...
https://www.meetup.com/topics/atheists/us/in/indianapolis/
if that's any help. I suppose there are Unitarians or even some US Quakers (society of friends) who accept non-believers as members.

Moved to Indianapolis in

Moved to Indianapolis in 20015. Yes, things seem quite different here. Was spoiled by california, and germany. I saw about two groups that meet in Indy. I have a new job and kids though...so I don't get out much. Maybe hang out near some of the colleges? Younger folk usually have more open mnds...in my experience.
