Also, Lenny Bruce. There is very little video on him, but he is the grandfather of all comedians. Strictly counter-culture, question authority, and the freedom to speak magic words, and freedom of speech. Without him, I doubt if we'd have the other greats, George Carlin, Eddy Izzard, Ricky Gervais, etc.

Eddy Lizard has his moments. He certainly can be very funny. I would watch one of his shows just because he is so outrageous. When you mentioned him I thought of another off the wall comedian who is very talented and an atheist.

Seth MacFarlane is an atheist and very outspoken about it. In Family Guy, Brian the dog is overtly an atheist.
That show is among my favorite things to watch.
I agree, Bob. Family Guy is funny, although they push the limits a bit too far, sometimes.

Joan Rivers was at least an agnostic.
