i cannot help but note that

i cannot help but note that you seem to be very tongue-in-cheek with your suggestions. the first one is too clinical IMO, the second, too flirty. the third is ... well, i guess i'd have to call it un-PC; besides, sex can be enjoyed even without orgasm -- i'm living proof. a Sperm Counter Overseer belongs in a Bank, obviously.

Palace of Earthly Delights Regulator has a couple of impediments, as i see it. first, "Regulator" brings to mind the female exercise instructor overseeing Winston Smith's sloppy form on his two-way tv screen in 1984 -- a bit too scary of a word, evocative of an unappealing martinet.

that leaves us with Palace of Earthly Delights -- not good, not bad, just so-so IMO. plus, when you acronymize it, you get "PED," which is highly suggestive of pedophile or pedophilia. we want to avoid any association with that.

ASIDE: i'm not sure what to do re: sexual deviants -- they should be taken into account. sex robots, currently being developed and sure to be vastly improved upon, ought to be available for a myriad of peculiarities -- e.g., pedophiles who enjoy having sex with children could be accommodated by child sex robots. then there are people who would enjoy watching children engaging in sex with each other -- for the right price (or with a doctor's prescription?), they can be provided for in the same way. when you go all the way to those who get their thrills from torture, killing and even from necrophilia, i don't doubt that technology could -- eventually -- accommodate. the question in those cases becomes, Would it lead to real-world acting-out? google just informed me that necrophilia is still legal in some states, mainly due to loopholes. maybe deadly fetishes should be more closely regulated. i don't know; i haven't given the fetishes too much thought. but they must be considered. anyone want to start a conversation about this subject, or should i just develop this comment into a post?

I think religion puts to much stigma on sex workers, and covers up it's own priest playing with children.

I have nothing but RESPECT

I have nothing but RESPECT for prostitutes. I am 100% against trafficking. No one should be forced into a life that they do not want. Prostitution throughout the world is often a means to an end for countless men and women, When the prostitutes are licensed, protected, and regulated it is as respectable profession as any. When it is not, like any illicit endeavor, bad things can happen.

when i initially posted my OP

when i initially posted my OP essay on Facebook, i received a heartwarming comment from a woman in the Midwest. that lady thanked me for my sympathetic view of sex workers, explaining that when she was a child, one of several siblings being raised by a single mom, there were times when mom had a difficult time with both putting enough food on the table AND paying the bills. in those times of extreme need, her mom engaged in sex work to supplement the family's income. the commenter loved and respected her mom for doing what she could -- what she had to do -- in order to keep her family together and healthy. her opinion of sex work, needless to say, was positive for the benefits it provided that whole family. the concept of "shame" never entered her conversation.

the only problem with that situation was that the commenter's mom had to walk a fine line; she was forced, by our govt, into a dangerous circumstance. she was neither licensed, protected, nor regulated. her govt didn't have her back. her children, OTOH, had the practical sense to appreciate what their mom did to keep them all together. THEY, at least, had the intelligence to give her the respect she deserved.

Here's something that has

Here's something that has always puzzled me....

A girl goes out on the streets and picks up guys and gets paid to have sex. Privately, in a room or somewhere secluded. Nobody else seeing. Nobody to get offended by it. And that is considered illegal. That same girl could get hired by some sleazy "producer" to make a movie and get paid to have sex while being filmed. That gets distributed for countless others to see. THAT, however, is perfectly okay. WTF? I hate hypocritical double-standard bullshit. Bottom line (in my opinion) is that Mr. Gov isn't getting his cut of the profits from the girl on the street.

yes, but ... it's just like

yes, but ... it's just like with cannabis: the govt COULD be getting its cut from sex workers, instead of their pimps or along with their Madames, e.g. -- in legal income taxes, etc. in the case of sex, it's strictly on religious, "moral" grounds that the profession is blackballed. you'd think that, what with the example of Jesus's close friendship with Mary Magdalene, they'd be more accepting ... but, noooo! for some reason -- and this has GOT to be Freudian -- it's a potential Learning Moment conveniently swept under the rug.

the Big Three -- i.e., xtianity, judaism, islam -- are all so horribly fucked up about everything having to do with sex, it's stupefying. all the way from antiquated Blue Laws (still in effect here in the bible belt) to the unimaginable injuries inflicted by FGM, the major monotheistic religions are both cruel AND unusual. so much more could be said, but i'm sure y'all know what i'm talking about.

i can't get AG Sessions out of my thoughts, while we're discussing hypocrisy and bullshit. his recent statement linking opioid use to the "gateway" drug of marijuana "and other drugs" -- i saw his statement to that effect as tweeted by NBC News -- got me SO mad, at both the AG and NBC, i practically erupted. it's plain as day that Sessions will do ANYTHING to link cannabis use to a litany of Wickedness, but there is simply NO EVIDENCE for his statement -- it's a lie that came out of nowhere, an unattributable, irresponsible remark, crafted wholly to slander cannabis, despite all -- and i mean ALL -- evidence to the contrary. why am i pissed at NBC reporters? -- for not immediately asking him the follow-up question: What data do you base that assertion on, that marijuana is a gateway drug, for opioids or for any other particular drug? that was just shoddy reporting, there.

in both cases -- legal copulation and legal cannabis -- our politicians betray their loyalty to their god and its perverted "morality" as interpreted by them and their chosen ministers -- some as young as four (Marjoe, e.g.) -- over their oath to their constituents and the secular U.S. Constitution. we must put an end to this farce! it is We the Rational People who are allowing this idiocy to control us; it is We the Rational People who must take hold of the situation and stop it in its tracks! not with guns, but with wide-ranging discourse, fierce debate, and determined votes. q.e.d.

Great post. You could argue

Great post, HER. You could argue the morality brigade boot comes down on anything to do with pleasure, rather than just sex, hence the never ending stupidity of The War on Drugs. You know the one- it causes our young people to wind up in hospitals or worse after swallowing all their drugs before they go to a rave or all day rock festival because sniffer dogs and cops, not to mention the great boon to criminal profit and accidental overdoses thanks to complete lack of quality control.

I'm dismayed American politicians are still using the gateway drug line. I haven't heard that one in Australia for a very long time.
