According to Steve Harvey, atheists are idiots. He claims God changed his life. Any rebuttals???
(Kind of a sarcastic post but I want to see what you guys think of such a bold statement from some Family Feud host)

I’m sure there are some folks who are identified as atheist who are idiots. There are theists who can be called that as well. Conversely, there are both atheists and theists who can be said to be quite intelligent.
So we are idiots in the judgment of a man who not only agreed to host a Miss Universe pageant, but also announced the wrong winner. He's also made racist comments about Asian men. He sounds to me like a narrow-minded, self-opinionated, loud-mouth bigot. But I'm just an atheist idiot.
The claim is not falsifiable, therefore it is false.
So ...let me see......
Someone I've never heard of ...... said something derogatory about Atheists........ nine years ago...........

My lack of belief in a god has changed my life.
So here we are now, two individuals who have made contradictory statements. Mr Harvey has stated that god has changed his life, I am stating that a lack of belief in any god has changed my life.
So where do we go from here? Both statements are personal opinions, is either true or are both true?
But unlike Mr Harvey, I do not state that theists are idiots. My opinion is that almost all theists are intelligent, caring, and rational people. I am not going to insult you just because we have differing opinions.

I have no problem at all with people attributing changes in their life to a belief in God. Imagine how comforting it would be to just pretend you could free yourself from all your problems and life issues by just saying "It's in God's hands now" I don't have to worry about it any more. People do this all the time.

No idea who Steve Harvey is- he must be on American Family Feud- but if American Family Feud is anything like Australian Family Feud, it's a stupid game show. I don't watch it, but oddly enough, my uncle was talking abòut an episode he saw today. The question was one horned animals. Both families said cows. Stupid show with stupid contestants. I don't think I'll lose a lot of sleep over Steve Harvey's opinion. I suspect it takes a lot of uppers to be a Family Fued host, but not much upstairs.
