It is difficult to take someone seriously who thinks they get more m̶a̶g̶i̶c̶ ̶b̶e̶a̶n̶s̶ fruits, when they believe in fairy tales. It is even harder when they can't tell you how many more.
I made the smiley face comparison to try and show that. Didn't you see it?
Not sure why one can't take me seriously when I believe judging others to hell isn't a very nice thing to do.
Right, I asked a question, the answer to which is presumably just a number; and you responded by taking about smiley faces. Again, that is not the way to be taken seriously, at least around here.
Ok, for the sake of argument, I have a magic joyometer that reads a 30 percent increase in joy when I believe and commune in prayer. I don't actually have one but it's going to help you get to your preconceived response you are so wishing to spring on me, and I don't wish to disappoint you.
Reporting the results of a fictitious experiment; is not a good way to convince a skeptic.
Homer: I have a human joy meter too. When I use it, I don't become a fucking bigot. I do actually have one. I have used it my entire life. I believe in it, commune with it, and it is a fucking lot more reliable than you idiot god.
I apologize for being a bigot if that's what you are judging me to be here.
@HOMER: You are judged for being in a state of "Cognitive Dissonance" YOU CAN'T SMELL THE CRAP YOU ARE STANDING IN.
Lol, well if you heap a whole bunch of issues of the Christian faith on a guy that thinks Jesus taught good things, I guess fling away.
I'll try to study his words and include your observations. I've received a good message from him so far, but I'll read his words some more and try to improve my cognition.
...and sometimes Cog lets me play with it :) ...
Re: “ I have a human joy meter too.”
@Cognostic
"Homer: I have a human joy meter too"
Me too.
As a bonus, as with most Aussies, I have 2 inbuilt meters. One for bullshit and one for irony. Both get a work out whenever there's an active apologist in the house. The irony meter frequently explodes.

Related trivia: The country of Bhutan measures Gross National Happiness.
"Gross National Happiness (also known by the acronym: GNH) is a philosophy that guides the government of Bhutan. It includes an index which is used to measure the collective happiness and well-being of a population. Gross National Happiness is instituted as the goal of the government of Bhutan in the Constitution of Bhutan, enacted on 18 July 2008.[1]"
BUT : "GNH has been described by critics as a propaganda tool used by the Bhutanese government to distract from ethnic cleansing and human rights abuses it has committed.[53][54]"
Sounded too good to be true .Bhutan is a Buddhist country.

The idea of hell isn’t nice. Period.
So is it a human idea or a god spirit idea?

Add: I keep coming back to see if there is an answer to this question...
If you are looking for an answer from me, I don't pretend understand the teachings on hell well. There's a whole lot about the concept that varies by translation. I don't think the concept ties in well with what I get from faith, and I know there are entire theologies that reject the concept. Yet Jesus is attributed to say some things about it. I don't know if it is due to translation, where there is a word that has been more interpreted to be about eternal separation from God and death, or eternal punishment and damnation. Or someone wanted to make sure there was punishment to be mete out to the "wicked". I know most of what is ingrained about the place comes from people hundreds of years after Christ. I
@Homer...I don’t get into “word” in the sense of original Greek/Hebrew- there are posters here who do know a ton about that stuff and the history etc etc... BUT
My point is pretty much all Christian religions contain hell (mine didn’t, we considered ourselves Christians). It’s in “the book” regardless of how a person wants to try to get nitty-gritty. Now a Christian telling ‘ole mousey (Feivel) might be a loving thing... IF hell exists ...IF he’s going there - this Christian might be “saving his soul”... likewise, my family not talking to me might just be loving because I’m an apostate and they are protecting themselves.
You said it wasn’t a nice thing to say - but what if it’s a true thing to say?
The whole idea of hell is not nice. As stated above.
Is it a god spirit idea or a man idea? How will you determine it (does it matter to you)?
