KY Taxpayers Owe $224,703 in Legal Fees Because of Kim Davis

We now know the cost of Rowan County (Kentucky) clerk Kim Davis denying gay couples their marriage licenses: nearly $225,000.

The judge ruled that the state was responsible because they did nothing to sanction Davis for her dereliction of duty. "Respondeat superior" has been common law since the 17th century.
