No longer need to be a Mary Sue

Hello, ladies and gentlemen,

Anyone here, atheists and theists alike, no that the monotheistic god of the abrahamic faiths is some kind of Ubergod... There is likely two reasons (maybe more) for this state of affair:

1) they want to be THE religion and brag around others that their gods are nothing.

2) our ancestors knew next to nothing (scientifically speaking) about the world they lived in, so some assholes said that the god should be omni-everything...but today i think we can digress (even in the days although):

The world is far from being perfect, at least , in relation to us, and although we are far from understanding perfectly the Universe, we can say that is is likely that it won't be able to sustain life forever. You can think of the Big Rip, The heat death, or a false vacuum decay event.

Surely, an omniscient, omnipotent and perfectly loving god could have created a non hostile cosmos that could live on forever?

It is why i am saying that the god as defined by the abrahamists people is no longer required, even from a theistic perspective.

I think many abrahamic theist simply hop to their conclusion that life on earth is temporary, some sort of weird free will testing ground and just a jumping off point to an eternity in heaven, so to them they have no problem with the concept of a finite cosmos that is hostile.
Of course, they SHOULD have a problem with this, if they actually examined it, but you do not remain a theist if you actually critically examine your religion. Those people became atheist long ago.

I fully agree with you here, as I do your entire post. But I wanted to highlight you bring up a good point, from all directions the god concept is under siege, from within, from without, hypothetically, logically, reality, facts. I always try to have as much understanding and compassion as possible for theist, especially considering they were likely brainwashed from many of their most important peers from early childhood. But dang sometimes I want to scream "wake up and smell the hypocrisy!" to these theist. Especially when you get the apologist that actually spend time and read the opposing arguments/facts/data.

And what is really interesting is that if you get a theist, one on one, and actually begin to talk to them, you generally find that they do not believe in the Abrahamic god of the bible, but rather, some made up fantasy they have in their own mind.

In fact christians must believe two different gods, the asshole in the OT, the less-asshole one of the NT. What i wanted to say is that, when theists come and spew their first cause argument for their god, there are no reasons to even use the usual qualifiers like omniscient, omnipotent and less so omnibenevolent.

Even if there is an artificial of the appearance of the Universe as it is, you can only say that the "god-like" entity have at least the sufficient knowledge and means to create THIS Universe. It is not like there are proven to exist Universe out there, so we can't compare.

Finally, even the notion of perfection (and so the supposed all-loving character) is arbitrary , because it is relative to us.
