Revelation! Be Yourself!

I have seen a few post on this forum posted by people seeking answers. Only fitting as people come to realize that religion has no answers, only parables and myths.
So just what is the answer to these people who question life? Obviously they have been led their entire life. They have been instructed and told not only what to do and say, but what to think.
The answer of course is to become your own person. Take ownership of your life and your thoughts. You don't need people telling you what to do, say, and think. You need to decide. What you really should be asking for is information. It's a given that you don't know this since religion forbids you to question just about everything. Knowledge and information is the key to everything.
Questions about morality.
You have been told that morality only comes from a god. Don't worry it doesn't and never did. Religion hijacked morality and corrupted it to force obedience upon ignorant people. Morality comes from society.
Patriotism. Again a hijacked and corrupted ideal by religion and conservatives. Being a patriot does not mean that you have to obey the religion of the majority or religion at all. It doesn't mean you have to hate something to be for something. For example I know people that hate Mexican-Americans that wave Mexican flags on Cinco de Mayo. That is false patriotism and just pure hatred. Mexican-Americans that display pride in their country of origin are no less American patriots than Irish Americans celebrating St. Patrick's Day.
It all boils down to being your own person. Accepting yourself. Yes if you chose logic over myth and decide that you are an atheist, you will suffer consequences for doing so. You may be ostracized or outcast. You will endure undue prejudices. You will undoubtedly be verbal assaulted. You may even be physically attacked. But isn't it worth being true to yourself? You don't have to accept the expectation of others, nor do you have to become something that you are not just to satisfy others. Don't let fear force you to maintain a facade. You don't have to keep the fact that you are an atheist a secret either. Now I am not saying go out and yell at the top of your lungs, "I am an atheist!" What I am saying trying to conceal or hide being an atheist is just as bad as pretending to not being an atheist. Sometimes you will have to stand up for your rights.
Whether or not you are an atheist or a religious person is only one facet of your life. It doesn't change the way you eat your food, only what you do before you eat it. You still put your pants on one leg at a time no matter what you believe. You are a creature of nature, so let your believe or non-believe be second nature to you. Own it and you will be just fine.
If you are seeking comfort, look for it in knowledge and valid information. People that tell you that they are giving you the truth are undoubtedly lying to you. You will never find comfort in a lie.
That is the big revelation. Nothing Earth shattering!
Be yourself!

Yes, but the term revelation

Yes, but the term revelation implies superstition to many religionists who immediately think of "2" below....
revelation
rɛvəˈleɪʃ(ə)n/Submit
noun
1.
a surprising and previously unknown fact that has been disclosed to others.
"revelations about his personal life"
synonyms: disclosure, surprising fact, divulgence, declaration, utterance, announcement, report, news, leak, avowal; More
2.
the divine or supernatural disclosure to humans of something relating to human existence.
"an attempt to reconcile Darwinian theories with biblical revelation"

Religion is not only for born followers, it can lead to misunderstanding. Religion tends to conflate ideas and concepts that should be kept more discrete. As you say, "You have been told that morality only comes from a god", which is a good example. Religionists support religious "education" that conflates religion and morality.

Ah but a revelation is not

Ah but a revelation is not religious at all. It means to be revealed. Religion hasn't revealed anything at all. In fact religion is about secrets that aren't even there. The real secret is that there is no god and they would like to keep that a secret. Once you understand that you have a revelation.
