We evolve but they don't.
Why is that?

Will their innate racial traits evolve without external intervention?
Because it is a game.
rmfr
Because they weren't programmed to and we were?
They do. Just compare the models pre and post 2014.
Their physical appearances were intentionally improved with larger texture maps and more polygons by a creative artist for commercial profit.
Will World of Warcraft races evolve on their own without an external force intervening on their behalf?
Will their innate racial traits evolve without external intervention?
What? Lmao
Why do npc video game characters need to be programmed to evolve? Seems like a waste of code for a video game. By the way, who says they arent evolving anyway? That process takes a lot longer than that game has been out. If this thread is an attempt at debunking evolution, then you're doing a terrible job. A really good job in a comical sense so thanks for the laugh.
Not the best debate topic I've seen, but carry on.
Okay, so they could be evolving?
If you created a World of Warcraft Orc and played it for billions of years that race would evolve automatically without intervention?
Would the quests also evolve?
Would the items also evolve?
If the human programmers want to spend their time writing all that code, then sure.
@Hal 9000
If you read even just a little of the lore in world of warcraft they actually talk about the races evolving quite a bit.
Oh wait.. you are trying to make a fictional story written by humans literally? Why doesn't the characters of the story written in pixels and audio start to evolve?
Why would you claim that? Seems rather crazy to me to expect fictional story characters displayed in pixels on a screen evolve.
Did you mention this in a weird attempt to try and prove a point?
Does it worry you at all that you need to point out a fictional story character and races to not evolve to try and shoot down evolution theory?
Or are you just trolling and making conversation? If so carry on, it is rather amusing. I am curious where you try and go with this.

I'm asking why World of Warcraft races don't evolve automatically without intervention.
I haven't mentioned any books - let's stick to facts shall we?
The reason why World of Warcraft races don't evolve is because they weren't programmed to evolve by their creators.
Why didn't the creators design World of Warcraft races to automatically evolve without intervention?
Hal, are you a theist or atheist?
Atheist, I guess?
I lack belief in myself and others (at least in theory on the internet).
That's definitely NOT what an Athiest is.
Why didn't they?
Maybe because they didn't need or want to. Maybe the kind of code for that would be ridiculous with current computers. Maybe it would cause the required system specs to go out of whack enough that no one would play it. Maybe because, as popular as WoW is, they know that an MMO's lifespan can be measured at most in decades, not eons.
@HAL 9000
Easy, because they were not designed to.
I was sticking to facts. You were not?
Oh cool you answered your own question. I accept that answer. (obviously because I just stated it above) We agree!
Why didn't the creators design World of Warcraft races to automatically evolve without intervention?
Because that was not the creators goal. If they could even pull something like that off with coding on available computing hardware. Their goal was to develop a popular fantasy themed MMORPG based on their created warcraft world lore from previous warcraft games. Also brand recognition is a thing, instead of creating a whole new brand they carried on their strong warcraft brand. And boy did it work WoW is far and away the most succesful MMORPG of all time, in terms of paying subscribers, in terms of dollars made etc. and a whole host of other measures of success.
How is all this not obvious to you? Why do you even feel you need to ask these questions?

I'd add on top of Logic's reply that people, for the most part, don't like massive changes in a system like this.
While WoW is still massively popular, large chunks of people were unhappy when they littered the landscapes with smoking craters. Or when they added talking pandas. Or when the replaced the talent trees with watered down multiple choice options that reduced customization. Etc...
If things in WoW evolved enough, it would stop being the same game people came to play in the first place.
I think I know what point you’re trying to make and I believe it’s been made. I’m just amused it came in the form of a question I thought was super stupid. I’m curious though to see where you go with this.
@OP
I gotta say that while I never agree with anyone on evolution, i must agree with LogicFTW on this one. I am sure if you spent some time and focused on researching it you can make a much better argument for why you don't believe in evolution, instead of comparing it to video games. While i can understand where your argument and logic is coming from, i don't think it makes a good case.
Why didn't the creator of the World of Warcraft races create them in his own image?
Why did the creator betray evolution and make them the complete opposite?
(Before reading any other replies...)

In the words of Yoda, "Mmm... The Troll is strong in this one."
(Now to go read other replies...)
Can you answer the question?
I thought i saw some loony toon arguments before, but this is literally one of the worst attempts to debunk evolution that I've ever seen.
Has @HAL 9000 been banned?
Yes, he was escorted back to the bridge from whence he came.
@Cyber Re: HAL9000 banned
Phew! Thank goodness! Was just about to start prepping Tin-Man's Butterknife for some major spreading..... *placing butterknife back in secure storage box*....
Well done.
I’m not familiar with HAL. Does he nit believe in evolution? If not, I totally misread his intentions.
@JoC
yes, he was certainly on the unbeliever side of the fence on that one.
Interesting. Haven't met a lot of people who don't believe evolution these days.
