What part of the world are you from and where do you currently live?

I am from Belgium and I still live there. One day i will live on a deserted island all by myself. With my own garden, in my own tiny house and hamsters to provide for electricity.

Do you have children? If so how many and what ages?

Yes! my son is 16 now and my daughter 13. Their puberty is ok though.

What do you do at Atheist Republic?

Development, adding content to the website and sending out newsletters.

You are a dictator. Are you benevolent or malevolent, and what is your first edict?

Nah, that is so not me. I would suck as a dictator.

Were you ever religious? If so, share a little bit of that experience. Were you completely all-in and sincere or were you half-hearted? Did you always have serious doubts?

Not really. But since i was raised atheist, i thought i would give religion a shot. I figured that in stead of ‚see it to believe it’ i just had to turn that around to ‚believe it to see it’. Little did i know it had less to do with personal growth but everything with self salvation. I can say my journey into religion was short and disappointing.

What event or series of events brought you to become an atheist? If you were always an atheist, did you ever have doubts?

yeah that ^ in stead of being a de facto atheist i am now a convinced one

What is your favorite holiday? How do you celebrate/observe it?

My birthday because people will give me presents.
