Just a thought that suddenly came to me.

We all have our views on different religions and we can always respect that for each and everyone.

So what's your take on dwelling on history instead of reasoning for those who are more interested on talking about Christianity and making arguments to it.

I'm just curious to know what do other people think about this narrower topic in debunking a god.

I mean narrower because there's the story of the Bible where we can concentrate on.

Plus the historical side to it because it happened on a time of the civilization of Rome where historians are present.

Ever wondered what they wrote on their scripts at that time?

I always wonder how much

I always wonder how much credibility can be accredited to anything written so long ago. All that people can really do is have faith that all that they believe in is true. And that is sad in my opinion.

A lot of the "history" of the

A lot of the "history" of the Bible has been debunked. First of all there is the obvious stuff -- places where the Bible clashes with proven science as in Genesis, or contradicts itself, such as Genesis and the Gospels. But more of it has been debunked by history and archeology -- we now know that the Egyptians never took all those Israelites into captiviity, that the Jews didn't escape Egypt or cross Sinai (or meet God there) or march to the Holy Land and conquer it under Joshua's banner. God couldn't have punished all those centuries worth of Israelites for violating Torah law because the Torah hadn't even been written by the time the Israelite kingdoms had been destroyed. Herod didn't slaughter the innocents and the Romans didn't force Joseph to return to his birthplace for the census. History has spoken, and it says the Bible is mostly bullshit.

Just think of how things have

Just think of how things have evolved to more ad more people being smart enough to feel the right to question these things. It will only get to be more common as time goes on.

a book that has been edited

a book that has been edited as much as the bible has, besides all the contradictions contained on it, lacks of credibility to me. I believe one day theist will no longer exist just like the people who used to worship the sun and other "gods"
