Our group Facebook group Atheist Republic has been banned. I don't know the reason but the posts were moderated. Any rule violation was dealt properly. I miss chatting with the people . Apart from some inane questions we really had some good discussion sessions and sometimes it was just hanging out with the Atheists around the world. Hope we will get the group back.

I always wanted to join the group, but I can't find it. Maybe a bunch of butthurt idiots tried to get rid of it.
Although it a secret group members of the group can report and maybe that why they decide to delete it.

I miss it too, facebook just isn't the same without it,
Ironic (by which I mean nauseating) that some friends and I tried mightily to get a "joke" about sex with a young boy taken down and were repeatedly told it was "within community standards". I signed in here with fb but feel a bit sick about it, may go create a new account.
I personally believe that what the Atheist Republic need to do is simply file an appeal with the Facebook team, and instead of waiting for them to take action, create a new group and try to keep the group airtight so that intolerant people can't access its content or anyhow infiltrate it like they did the old one. I'm not sure how that can be done, but if it's possible, then it might be a good solution. restoring the 50K members may take a long time, but any active members will know to join the new group or find out about it somehow.
Perhaps if the circle of members starts out with only trusted fellers who would then invite people they trust, and keeping all new comers in check? Idk I'm just saying words. Just want to say I'm glad to have found a community of educated, passionate atheists, and I would love to see the Atheist Republic private Facebook group restored so I can join it!
Need to get every Atheist to send in repeated complaints to face book from around the world.

I found this website via a facebook post that said Atheist Republic was back as a facebook group. Like this site, but seems increasingly like I was misled into thinking you were back. What's the latest?
We can always make a new one and avoid adding the trouble makers. I use to be in groups that get constantly deleted since they usually break the rules. Maybe this time they will leave you alone.
