It is more shock and outrage that "one of the establishment" should have been judged by the inferiors that infest Australia. The purple circle that consider themselves the elite in Australia see this conviction as an affront to their right to rule without question.
A high profile case with a defendant wealthy enough to afford top lawyers. Major news coverage. The appeal supports the original verdict.
Yet officials in power rush to publicly take a stance to support ... a convicted child rapist?
The gall and the arrogance is foul and putrid.
Makes me wonder how many of them have raped children, or like to watch kiddie porn.
Pell plans to make a futile appeal against his conviction in the High Court. Catholics will be happy to know that the money they drop in the collection tray will be spent on such a worthy project.
