Rachael Slick, Example of Reason over Faith

Not very long ago, Matt Slick (founder of the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry) discovered his daughter Racheal became an Atheist. You can read about the abusive indoctrination she was subjected to growing up here: http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyatheist/2013/07/15/the-atheist-daug...

Scientific facts are readily available on the internet. This counters creationist’s indoctrination attempts to eliminate their children’s access to information through home-schooling.

Two Questions:

1. Is the internet where religion goes to die?

2. Do you think this system of attrition erodes religious beliefs in greater numbers than atheists becoming religious?

"I’m hopeless.

"I’m hopeless.
Oh boy. I’ve got a lot to work on. I try to be obedient but it’s so hard! The more I read, the more I realize how bad I am! My problem is that when things don’t make sense to me, I don’t like them. When Dad gets mad at me for something, everything makes perfect sense to me in my mind, so I tend to resent my parents’ correction.
I have just realized that I yearn to please the lord, but why can’t I? I just can’t be good! It seems impossible. Why can’t I be perfect?"

Dam that is exactly the feeling I had when I was a kid.

Christianity makes you feel miserable when you are honest with yourself, and worse of all , it does it to you when you are a kid and are not mature enough to handle such pressure.

The only relief is to admit that you are sinful and deserve punishment and thus accept god's mercy by blindly believing in Jesus.

What a cruel and evil theology to impose on your own kids.

School should no teach

School should no teach religion but unfortunately most countries allow their public schools to tackle religion and science at the same time. This makes me sick but what can we do when the government has the authority over it?
