" The fact is that

" The fact is that conservaturds don't want oversight and they attack any authority regarding their practice."

The oversight of banks can and should be done by an agency with no conflict of interests, whereas another bank like the Fed most certainly has a conflict of interests. I would like to have this responsibility done by the FTC.

I am not a conservative- I don't know why you mistake me for one. Most conservatives are not opposed to a Central Bank, only a small group following Ron Paul oppose it as unconstitutional.

You are correct, though, just because something is not specifically enumerated does not mean it is unconstitutional, but this is not why the Fed is unconstitutional. It is because it directly contradicts the constitution, which says that congress should coin the money. Until an ammendmeny is passed saying that the Federal Reserve has the power to coin money, this still stands.

Myckob4, it is very clear that we disagree regarding a number of issues, and a heated argument is bound to insue. I do not wish to make an enemy of you, and this is an atheist forum anyway, so I think it best we stop talking politics.

I want to comment on the U.S.

I want to comment on the U.S. Constitution since it is being help up with such sanctity. It is my belief, that the real conversation should be about the actual validity of the document to provide the foundational laws of the U.S. to begin with for ALL citizens.

It is being totally ignored that the U.S. Constitution was primarily written by "propertied white males" (including slave owners) for the benefit of the same -- not women, blacks (free or slave) or unpropertied white males. So in essence, the Constitution was for the benefit and protection of maybe 35% of the total population.

I recommend reading the book The People's History of the United States by Howard Zinn.

“But whether the Constitution really be one thing, or another, this much is certain - that it has either authorized such a government as we have had, or has been powerless to prevent it. In either case it is unfit to exist.”
-- Lysander Spooner (1808 - 1887)

I am both a conservative and

I am both a conservative and a conspiracy theorist but printing money to solve debt issues will never work, it is just a temporary fix, that hurts you in the long run. It's as if you went to a loan shark to pay off your gambling debt, the real issue is that you spend money you don't have.

When conservatives become

When conservatives become atheists they usually become libertarians as a result, because they no longer have religion to back their stances on social issues. How is it that you mantained your opposition to abortion and same sex marriage without God?

O the never ending argument

O the never ending argument over the rules of Monopoly. Open your eyes people, conspiracy or not, what has happened has happened and now we are where we are. Are we going to carry on with these pre-existing ideals from outdated, dangerous ideas, or will we change and live differently?
