I am a mormon - [Einstein]

I am a mormon - [Einstein] was hunted by the Germans during world war 2 but managed to get to the U.S.

For what it is worth, Einstein was never in Germany when the Nazi's were in power. He was on vacation in the US when the Nazi's came to power and he wisely never went back; which was 6 years before the start of WWII.

I am a mormon - People told lies about [Joseph Smith]

And now you have participated in that as well, since you lied to us about Smith.

I am a mormon - we [Mormons] don't do drugs

I know lots of Mormons; I assure you, Mormons take drugs, lol. Oh, and they drink tea also (only certain kinds).

then I guess the website I

then I guess the website I visited is wrong, look dude, I'm seventeen years old, of course I'm going to get some facts wrong, I don't know everything. And of course some Mormons take drugs, but that doesn't mean all of us do.

@ I am a Mormon - I was doing

@ I am a Mormon - I was doing some genealogy work on ancestry.com the other day and discovered that some of my distant ancestors were Mormon, traveled west from North Carolina in the 1830's. Just throwing that out.

I am an atheist - can you tell me: If I don't become a Mormon, will my life get worse in any way? If I do become a Mormon, will my life get better?

In other words - what do you have, as a Mormon, anything that I should want or need?

In other words - is it bad to continue as an atheist and not believe? - is it good to become a Mormon and believe?

The reason I am asking this is because, as I examine all the various Christian denominations including Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses, I have yet to find any discernible, real-life benefit to becoming a believer. Believers don't live any longer than non believers, they get sick just as often, they commit crimes with the same frequency, their businesses fail just as often, they are affected by floods, tornado's, and earthquakes just as often - the only real difference between you and me is the fact that you believe something that I don't.

One last question - do you think faith is a reliable path to truth? Think about it.

okay, there is at least one

okay, there is at least one benefit. You won't believe this, but I might as well say it. my religion believes that in the last days those who don't believe in chirst or reject our message will be burnt as stubble upon the earth. I know that this will happen, and I know it because of the signs that were sent preceeding it. almost all of them have been fulfilled, it is coming very very close to the end of days when Armageddon will take place in Israel. Only those who accept the message, or had no opportunity to accept the message will be saved, everyone else will be cast off the face of the earth and shall die. so that's a benefit.

This is the shit I'm talking about. Now your message is just hateful. We will alll be burnt as stubble on earth.? Keep your Mormonism beliefs. You won't get any new flock here only truth seekers, but you wouldn't know the difference. Good luck with that

That's the problem I am morman. You are trusting in a religion over your own moral thoughts. So when you quote scripture and say you know that all of us unbelievers with burn to the ground it comes across you being hateful.
Not the religion you described in earlier posts. Glad to hear how you really see it. Sucks to be us right?

Another fucking KID

Another fucking KID predicting doomsday? BULLSHIT! The signs, yeah right! Kiss my ass. Get your little cardboard sign and stand on the corner and scream that world is ending. Get off this forum and go the fuck away, you moron.

by the way, I know that this

by the way, I know that this site has standards, and you have been reported, not by me but by other people, your language is crude and you need to back off a notch.

Lol:) Are you mad at me too for saying shit?
I can't tell you how many times my father told someone to stop cursing because it was offending his spirit or protecting our ears. Funny that now hearing cursing is often joy to my ears while religious jargon tends to really hurt them.

I don't like swearwords at

I don't like swearwords at all, it's just a thing I have. I wasn't necessarily displeased with you however because you weren't using them to call me an idiot or to go away or to use them in a harmful manner.

Fuck you, you little bitch.

Fuck you, you little bitch. No one reported me. Get a life you pimple fart. My language is far more sophisticated than your archaic 19th-century mythology. And predicting doomsday? Are you serious? They have been predicting doomsday since before they made up jesus. Could you send me a book of mormons? I need to wipe my ass.

@I am a Mormon: If you are

@I am a Mormon: If you are still around I have this question- If the tablets were written in an ancient Egyptian dialect and Joseph Smith lives in the U.S. of 1820 why does he write the book in a faux 16th century English? He liberally flavors his language with thee, thou, yea, ye, liveth, endureth, nay, and remembereth?

Very Mormon's picture
because that is what

because that is what revelation told him to write. I don't know any other way to answer that question.

chimp3,

chimp3,

That's the way those timey Egyptians talked. Joe Smith wouldn't lie, would he?

My opinion is that you're in

My opinion is that you're in a cult protected and guarded by the same thugs as Scientologists.

I really don't know where to start, so here's some scattered bullet points;

*Joseph Smith was a known and convicted con man. Why follow such a thing?

* Based on Jesus Christ, what evidence is there that he even existed?

* Read these words carefully: The church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Latter Day? As opposed to what others that were established earlier? Established by whom?

I'm just going to throw out

I'm just going to throw out there, that none of us really know if he was convicted at all, that is a very debated subject.

there are tons of different records of Jesus, nearly every scholar that has studied the historical documents agrees that he did live, they just don't know the specifics of his life. Even the Jews admit that he lived, they just believe he was only a prophet and not the savior.

latter day as opposed to Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus, Lehi, Nephi, Alma, Mormon, Mosiah, all of the other prophets and restorations that have taken place on the earth since its beginning.

Your church says he was. Funny how you accept the magical claims of your church; but reject this very mundane claim.

I didn't reject that, I just don't know what to think about that.
here's another source from the church, which is more in depth about that.

It all boils down to Polygamy

It all boils down to Polygamy. No one is denouncing Jesus, but we allow what the Christians won't and it'll all be sanctioned by god.

Brilliant!

polygamy hasn't been allowed

polygamy hasn't been allowed in the church for over a hundred years.

I have grown up in the church

I have grown up in the church, as a kid it was really easy to just believe, but once I got into my teenage years I began to question the church, I nearly left. I became suicidal and I was done and I said a prayer (I'm sad to say it was rather spiteful) and a girl came into my life that absolutely strengthened me, I wasn't suicidal anymore and I believed in the church, but then s I began to get cocky I began to believe that nothing would ever change. My entire life flipped over. The girl ditched me for my old best friend and they started dating even though she wouldn't date me because she said she didn't want to date me till I was back from my LDS mission. she said she didn't want to date anyone till she was out of highschool, she wouldn't even sit close to me. After that I began to question my faith again, but instead of being weakened by the many other struggles I went through that month, my faith was strengthened and I learned that it was true.
I don't really know how to explain why I know that it's true...

Nyarlathotep's picture
I am a mormon - I don't

I am a mormon - I don't really know how to explain why I know that it's true

You know its true in the same way that main stream Christians "know" the LDS church is a cult. The same way conspiracy theorists "know" their conspiracy theories are true.

mykcob4's picture
What, you were going to leave

What, you were going to leave the church and the LDS sent a cheerleader to recruit you back? I thought only happen in college sports. Give me a break asshole that never happened. If you ever had a girl your acne would clear up. And don't tell me you are saving yourself. If a girl smiled at you, you would jizz your jeans. BTW have you tried Proactive?
BTW you haven't grown up YET. So don't talk as if you have.
And you are a fucking liar. You said that you are poor (that your family is poor) and later you said that your dad edited a program that was on the history channel. Those jobs pay well. You don't know what poor is. Goddamn it I hate fucking liars. Especially pimply faced virgin moron liars!
I was a Drill Instructor in part of my 22 year USMC career. I had to take punks like you and knock the stupid out of them. They all cried for their mothers and whined about how I abused them for cussing. Fucking pussies. I made men out of those wimps. But I don't know if I could make a man out of you.
If you lie to me, you are lying to yourself a whole bunch more.
A man has integrity, you have no integrity. Liars don't have integrity. You'll never become a man until you can stop lying! And if cussing upsets you then you have more problems than you know. It is one of the reasons DI's cuss so much. If a person can't handle cussing, how will there ever handle combat?
I have earned the right to cuss. If you don't like it, then you can go cry to momma. I really don't give a shit if it upsets you or not. You're a fucking lying pussy!
