I am not convinced of the existence of a historical Jesus. His motivations are therefore a non-issue.
Good thing this is not a discussion about historical Jesus a person we have no evidence of existing and instead focuses on Jesus the character in the Iron Age mythology of the bible.
Physical historical records and documents exist. They account for Jesus Christ in multiple ways, from multiple reputable and verifiable sources. You do not believe in Jesus Christ existed
as the Son of God, a person who can walk on water, a miracle worker.

What historical records exist? Do you have proof jesus ever existed?
I don't believe in jesus or the christian god. There is no Roman records of jesus. I think it was in the 3rd century CE that the roman emperor deified jesus because he was a christian.
I agree literally not a single shred of evidence exists for Jesus as historical and real. However he is undeniably a real character in Iron age mythology of the bible so are a real literary character his life can be examined.

Trustyoursources. What sources do you use? Pilot was the Roman governor of Palastine when Jesus rode into town on a donkey. Pilot jailed him, gave him a trial, then executed him. Written in Roman, Greek, Latin and Hebrew texts. Books and documents are not one of your sources?

The bible is not a historical source its an account of someone who claimed to be an apostle of Christ but lived somehow 150+ years later at best and at worst the bible is pure mythology with sprinkles of reality. Historical sources would be historical accounts, first hand evidence like letters, statues, carvings, first hand accounts that are written in the same time period as the events took place not 150+ years later.
