Heads up Jamal......
The tide may be beginning to turn......

worth a look......

Great storms announce themselves with a simple breeze...

Ive seen the hashtag and I

Ive seen the hashtag and I see nothing but few people tweeting about how they disrespect the religion and how they disrespect God because they didnt get what they want or they want a life not by the book but whatever that pleases themselves not God. you see its like acting like a spoilt brat who is never happy and curses and spreads hatredness. Religion is not about that religion teaches you tolerance not disrespect and if you're not happy with something then it doesnt mean you go around bashing religion. I'm not here for that nor I want to be dragged into such thing. But If you may want to stay positive then I'll also want you to go through these hashtags and this video of an atheist who was an Islam hater and studied all religions and what changed him.

"I see nothing but few people tweeting about how they disrespect the religion and how they disrespect God"

That ,I'm afraid , does not surprise me....you are missing the point ,as usual.........

These few people are speaking out....freely.....they are not disrespecting anything..... and most importantly the fact that they are doing this is evidence that the old Islamic enforcement practices are beginning to break down....

The traditional responses to the voices of dissent , threats of violence and exclusion , are loosing their power.

Time to evolve ?

Clock is ticking.

Tick tock....

Jamal ...

Sorry ..I did view the "YouTube's" and the "Twitters"...they mean very little to me as I have seen exactly the same claims made on Evangelical Christian preachers postings......right down to one claiming to have converted entire active Mujah-Hadin units operating in Indonesia.

Though I know that thousand

Though I know that thousand of people embrace Islam each year and millions are born Muslims each year so I see that by 2100 Islam will be the religion with highest population and there's a reason for that increase its not magic or rocket science its a simple fact that Muslims have faith and believe in Allah and that this life as a test, Satan is out worst enemy, and that depending on Quran and Allah is the only way of life and passing this test. Consult the book and you'll never fail. We are guided by Allah and whoever Allah guides no one can misguide.

But even Muslims need to know that only believing will not get us to paradise. WE have to be obident, pray , pay alms, pilgrim and fast and be kind to everyone.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 6.265 Narrated by Abu Said Al Khudri
The Prophet (saws) said, "On the day of Resurrection Allah will say, 'O Adam!' Prophet Adam (a.s.) will reply, 'Labbaik my Lord, and Sa'daik.' (I respond to Your Calls, I am obedient to Your Orders), Then there will be a loud call (saying), 'Allah orders you to take out (or assign) from among your offspring a mission for the (Hell) Fire.' Adam (a.s.) will say, 'O Lord! Who are the mission for the (Hell) Fire?' Allah will say, 'Out of each thousand, take out 999.'

Allah says:
“Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.” (Quran 13:28)

“O you who believe! Turn to God with sincere repentance! It may be that your Lord will expiate from you your sins, and admit you into Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise)…” (Quran 66:8)

"millions are born Muslims each year so I see that by 2100 Islam will be the religion with highest population"

This is an effective strategy to become a big religion and probably the reason the Vatican is still saying no to condoms.
However, it is also a very very bad strategy in a world already suffering from overpopulation.
The food industry is beginning to have problems of keeping up with the amount of people that have to get food, and getting enough resources for making the food is also a big problem. There is a major risk for starvation. On top of that there is the lack of clean water, risk for diseases, and so on. And more overpopulation will lead to more wars, especially when there is a lack of resources.

This is the world you are sentencing your children and their children to live in.
Trying to become dominant through procreation, is a short sighted and stupid strategy of a madman.

Bernard's picture
How can there be millions

How can there be millions born muslims?
Unless they are born with a fully developed mind to declare themselves as muslim by birth.
There are millions of young childeren with muslim parents, forced to follow the believes of there parents.

Forcing someone else to follow and accept your own faith ?
Like a competition ..... he who has the most followers must have the thrue faith ?

Perhaps a chinese goddess is the choosen one ?

Without exception, all babies are born atheist. ;literally a=without theos=god.

At birth we do not yet have the ability to think, only to react . For most human beings ,their religious beliefs are no more than an accident of birth. Our religious beliefs and world view are absorbed uncritically, like little sponges, before the age of reason.

It is a life time observation that few human being never seriously think about such beliefs ever.

There is an odd contradiction with believers claiming that reason and logic are wrong. Christians also do it. Jews do not ,as far as I'm aware.

“Reason is a whore, the greatest enemy that faith has; it never comes to the aid of spiritual things, but more frequently than not struggles against the divine Word, treating with contempt all that emanates from God.”

― Martin Luther . (Martin Luther was the father of the European protestant reformation in the sixteenth century).

The contradiction is twofold:

(1) to a believer, surely the human mind is a gift from god? To deny its use is to reject that gift .Surely a great sin?

(2) Islam had a golden age:

"The Islamic Golden Age was a period of cultural, economic and scientific flourishing in the history of Islam, traditionally dated from the 8th century to the 14th century.[1][2][3] This period is traditionally understood to have begun during the reign of the Abbasid caliph Harun al-Rashid (786 to 809) with the inauguration of the House of Wisdom in Baghdad, where scholars from various parts of the world with different cultural backgrounds were mandated to gather and translate all of the world's classical knowledge into Arabic and Persian.[4][5] This period is traditionally said to have ended with the collapse of the Abbasid caliphate due to Mongol invasions and the Siege of Baghdad in 1258.[6] A few scholars date the end of the golden age around 1350,[7] while several modern historians and scholars place the end of the Islamic Golden Age as late as the end of 15th to 16th centuries.[1][2][3] (The medieval period of Islam is very similar if not the same, with one source defining it as 900–1300 CE.)[8]"

https://www.atheistrepublic.com/comment/reply/20026/30890

To that I add the Sufi tradition and great Muslim philosophers, such as the Mulla Sadra, who used his reason to deepen his Muslim faith.

"Sadr al-Din Muhammad b. Ibrahim b. Yahya Qawami Shirazi (ca. 1571–1636) is arguably the most significant Islamic philosopher after Avicenna. Best known as Mulla Sadra, he was later given the title of Sadr al-Muta’allihin (Master of the theosists) for his approach to philosophy that combined an interest in theology and drew upon insights from mystical intuition. He considered philosophy to be a set of spiritual exercises and a process of theosis, a pursuit of wisdom whose goal was to acquire wisdom and become a sage, and hence become godlike. He championed a radical philosophical method that attempted to transcend the simple dichotomy between a discursive, ratiocinative mode of reasoning and knowing,------- "

https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/mulla-sadra/

Christianity had the Renaissance and the Enlightenment, both embraced by Christians everywhere who had mastered abstract thought.

With your first post, I formed a glimmer of hope. Sadly, you have shown yourself to be simply another tedious and patronising apologist .You have not so far said anything we have not heard before ,many times.

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((9))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

OT ; I find it interesting that I can't remember ever seeing a Jewish apologist on an atheist forum . The observant Jew seems satisfied with his own faith, and not interested in the beliefs of non Jews. Although Judaism accepts converts, it does not now and has never sought them.

As far as I'm aware, Judaism tends to be vague about the soul, an after life, heaven and hell. Reasonably sure such things were not originally part of Jewish beliefs. It is my observation that religions tend not to begin whole and homogeneous. That they tend to continue to change. Most, like Christianity and Islam, have never been without schism and infighting.--As far as I'm aware, Christian sects still hate each other, and Sunni and Shia Muslims continue to persecute and even kill each other.

Its like you ask me to talk

Its like you ask me to talk about why I love the Iphone and when I start talking about it features and uniqueness you say.. Oh please why are you saying Iphone has this and that.. Off course if you ask me about a Book I will have to quote from it and even tell you what is says. The best thing about the Book is its from the creator. The creator existed and will always exist. Starting from Prophet Adam pbuh to Prophet Muhammad Pbuh there has been scriptures and Books and God talked directly with Moses Pbuh as well. The Quran is not just a Book 1400 year ago but it contains everything from creation of man to prophet Adam pbuh to Prophet Abraham Pbuh to Prophet Noah Pbuh to Prophet Moses Pbuh and Prophet Jesus pbub to Prophet Muhammad Pbuh. So this book has all of it and totally to the point and with clarity. The Bible had been corrupted over time and mostly by Paul who introduced Jesus Pbuh as Son of God and God. Quran clarifies that Allah is One. Not Three. No Father no Son. Allah alone is the master and sustainer of all. Its a privilege to worship Allah alone and to Read the Quran as the only book that remains in its original form.

Allah says whatever do is for own good. By worshiping Allah alone we are disassociating any partners with Allah. By following Allah's commandments we are following laws set by Allah for our own Good. Alcohol is forbidden in Islam. Pork. you have to be circumcised science proves its benefits. Women should wear decent clothes and cover their heads. Its for our own good. There are strict punishments for adultery and robbing or stealing. Understandably so if someone robs $100,000 from you. Everybody knows how they'll feel. If someone's wife has extra marital affair how'l that look to you. Islam doesnt support extremism. There are extremist in all religion but their number is very short. So dont blame Islam for people misunderstanding it. Islam asks us to purify ourselves before coming to pray. Good. Islam says be kind to younger and be respectful with elders. Good. Islam says be merciful be compassionate be kind be fair be honest be truthful be thankful be caring be loving be nice be sweet be kind to animals be caring to women. Allah says fast so that you should know how to control your desires as well as be reminded of the blessings and be thankful.

No man has ever seen God but everyone has seen God's creation. What's your definition of God?
I say God is a creator. All hearing All knowing. All powerful and Eternal and Absolute. His creation is His prove. Now Prove otherwise. Its your turn to answer :)

How your argument is proven wrong by returning it back at you:

First of all you can see Zeus

First of all you can see Zeus all over google images. He's got a Family. I thought you knew that we don't link anyone to God. No father no Son. Just One. Secondly you didnt answer what's your definition of God? Do you believe in God? If not, why? who made you? who made earth and everything on it and in the skies? the star sun and moon? Who? Who is holding up everything? Who gave you mind to think? Who gave you eyes so you can see. Who made vegetable and animals so you can eat. who made minerals and plants so you can make medicine? Who made oil so you can fill up and travel? Who made water and oxygen so you can live? Who was so intelligent and smart? Hmm

Four Different Voices, but

Four Different Voices, but One Eternal and
Immutable Message: No God but God

Ever heard the expression “Connecting the Dots”? Here are four among the most magnificent dots in all of human history. Let us see if you can connect them.

All right then. This is what everyone knows or should know about the world:

Abraham was a great monotheist, which means he believed in and preached the message of: No God but God.
The First Law of Moses – the First Commandment – was also the same: No God but God.
According to Jesus, the most important Commandment was the First Commandment: No God but God.
The core of Muhammad’s message to the world also was: No God but God.
May Allah Almighty bless these and all other Prophets and Messengers that he sent to warn, teach and guide humanity!

It seems all these four great leaders of humanity taught and preached the same message: No God but God.

If you were successful in connecting these four dots, you would know they all must have come from the same place – Almighty God – and taught the same eternal and immutable truth: No God but God!

boomer47's picture
@Jamal;

@Jamal;

Literally the word "allah" means THE god,

Abraham was not a monotheist . Judaism did not become [officially] monotheist until well after the alleged exodus. Large numbers of Jews were still worshipping Asherah, the wife of YHWH ,(who began as a Sumerian war god) as late as the fourth century bce ,.

The core of Muhammad's message was lifted from the Torah .

"There is no God but God" is simply a claim , not an argument . I would be thrilled to surrender to Allah--just as soon as you prove to me that he exists. So far, not one person in recorded history has managed to prove the existence of any gods. Lots of luck.

You seem to have simply dismissed other great leaders in history, beginning with Confucius and Siddhartha Gautama ,called 'the Buddha'

You dismiss the great works of Hinduism, which can have 15 million gods, or just one, depending on whom you ask

Imo opinion ,claims of exclusive or revealed truths are ignorant and arrogant. As is coming to an atheist forum and proselytising your personal superstitions,

Lolax01 "how would you

Lolax01 "how would you assert that Islam is generally unreliable"

I'd ask its adherents to demonstrate some objective evidence for any deity?

Since this is clearly by definition an an objective standard, the ensuing silence and evasion can infer only one conclusion. Their belief is unevidenced and subjective. Hence the koran, like the bible is utterly irrelevant. They might as well try to interpret the legends of Hercules to establish their validity.

They wont like it, and they will use all manner of fallacious arguments and presuppositional nonsense, but ultimately they hold an unevidenced belief, and set a subjective standard only for that single belief.

Edit...

If you prefer a more pithy punchy response, ask them why, if the koran is the immutable word of a perfect deity, so many Muslims throughout the world lend so much energy violently silencing all critics of it?
