Nope, no kids - For several reasons I never really wanted them.

What do you do at Atheist Republic?

Graphic Designer and occasional court jester in service to King Armin and Queen Makeesha, long may they rule!

You are a dictator. Are you benevolent or malevolent, and what is your first edict?

Benevolent - programs to make education more accessible to all people.

Were you ever religious? If so, share a little bit of that experience. Were you completely all-in and sincere or were you half-hearted? Did you always have serious doubts?

I was raised Catholic, over time the entire premise of religion became less convincing. I went through the motions of believing starting at about the age of 14 to keep the family happy. Once I was out on my own I was done with belief in gods. I don't force it on my family, but if discussions go that way I hold little back as to my position on belief. Anymore religious discussion is prohibited at the family table, though my Mom keeps asking me if I've been to church lately...

What event or series of events brought you to become an atheist? If you were always an atheist, did you ever have doubts?

Atheism was the nature conclusion to research into religion and "belief". The more I studied religion, and the multiple "one-true-faiths" the less convincing the entire idea was.

What is your favorite holiday? How do you celebrate/observe it?

Fall holidays. Gather with friends and chosen family - big meal, shared music, stories late into the night.

In a horrifying turn of events, you can only choose to have one of the following, forsaking all others. Would you choose:

a) a TV with all the channels
b) a huge library full of all kinds of books and periodicals that update regularly
c) a computer and printer but no internet
d) a video game console with all of the games you want

This one is easy - the Library.
