As I expected, the selection of Pope Francis marked the beginning of some very interesting and substantial changes. Here, I attempt to deconstruct and explain what’s happening.

Much of what is wrong with religion isn’t really religious. Religion suffers from cultural parasites which make it worse than it really is. Blaming religion for these contaminants sometimes misses the point.

Look at the world as either “Muslim” or “non-Muslim,” and you have accepted the mentality of “us against them,” and the “Dar al Islam” (House of Islam) and the “Dar al Harb” (House of War). Buried in a mental desert is every exotic and diverse feature that makes you who you are.
