So atheists made you lie to misrepresent atheism in order to produce this tired theistic canard that represents it as a contrary claim to theism? I think we are all familiar enough with the constant dishonest parroting of this argument form ignorance fallacy by theists to know better.
The definition of atheism is in the dictionary, and your dubious lie that atheists define it differently needs some evidencing as well, as since I have been here there has been a broad consensus among atheists that aligns with the primary dictionary definition, with theists just as consistently lying about the definition in a facile attempt to reverse the burden of proof.

Here are mine: I follow no religion and i have plenty to say against it as well, I don't believe in any book. I do not believe in any God/deity as written by mankind and professed by religions. I wear no symbolic religious symbols or garments, in fact so that I refuse to even wear gold, silver, metals etc around my neck wrists or wherever people like to put those things because I believe those things fall into some sorts of belief systems. I do not go to any place of worship. I believe that the best book of wisdom is nothing more than a book with blank pages. Whatever that makes me, it is what it is. Define me in any way you wish.

This is a masterful demonstration of evasion by stating what you are not, instead of what you are. Here is an example of what I am not.
I do not have gills, I can not leap over the Brooklyn Bridge. I can not bring Lassie back to life, and I do not wear size six shoes. I do not know precisely how many people live in my city, and I do not collect butterflies.
If you truly desire to build bridges, tell us what you ARE, not what you are not.

There is not a single definition for atheists unless you use the definition provided by the Church, "non-believer." That really does say it all. All atheists are non-believers. They do not believe in God or Gods. That is the definition of Atheism. All that is confusing you is "Why people are atheists" or possibly "How they express their atheism."
What specifically are you finding confusing. Atheism = non - belief in God or gods. Nothing more.

There is no reason to run away other than to hide in your own interpretations and conclusions and avoid thinking seriously about the world around you.
You came onto the site all blustery with one unsubstantiated opinion after another and you got the wind knocked out of you. Why not try asking some serious questions about things you actually care about. Not giving inane assertions and pedantic false bravado. In all seriousness, if you are capable of learning and having reasonable conversations, no one wants to see you go.

I want to add one last thing to this:
We human beings are creatures with egos. Unfortunately, ego lies to us. Ego tells us we're right when we're wrong. Ego tells us that someone is attacking us when they're calling out points or statements we have made. Ego tells us that when someone disagrees with us, it is a personal affront and we have to shut that shit down, most rikki-tik, in order to save face. Ego tells us to win, no matter what.
I believe that, quote often, people take contradictory evidence, questioning, requests for evidence or salient points against their claims as personal attacks. These things are not attacks at all, though it's easy to let ego, that little sidewinding prick, make us think they are.
I would like to suggest everyone look at the latin we use in debate to describe an attack against the presenter:
Ad hominem.
Ad hominem translates to "to the man" or, more snowflake appropriate, "to the person".
If you feel like someone is attacking or ridiculing YOU, ask yourself: Is that comment aimed at me or is it aimed at the content of my argument?
Also, are they remarking about a behavior or about you, directly?
Here's an example:
Bob says the sky is plaid because [insert clearly faulty "evidence" here (we ALL know the sky isn't plaid]
I say "that's the biggest load of crap I've ever had mashed into my eyeballs"
Is that "to the person"? Did I call BOB a load of crap or did I call Bob's argument a load of crap?
So now let's say Bob establishes a pattern of making really bad assertions:
The sky is plaid
The killer bunny exists
His all original 1973 VW beetle can do a 7 second quarter mile
Lightning is how aliens abduct people for anal probing
Coke and Pepsi taste the same
For each of these assertions, the "evidence" he presents is full-on laughable. I won't make up examples, let's just agree that his "evidence" isn't evidence at all...It's just really, really bad.
If I say to Bob "You have a long history of making completely asinine assertions which are backed up with nothing but assumptions, presuppositions and horse-apples"...
Is that "to the person"? Was I attacking BOB or was I commenting on Bob's behavior? Even though it is (technically) subjective opinion, it's still not aimed at Bob.
Now, if I say "Jesus, monkey balls, Bob, you're a fucking idiot!"...
THAT is "to the person" and even though it's unacceptable, it's an area in which we will all slip from time to time. I, for one, ask that if I do slip, the offended party call me out on it. Point out that I have used an ad hominem attack and if that's true, I will stand like a man, take my medicine and accept that I was a bonehead.
Just please make sure it's really ad hominem.

I am intrigued by those who consider themselves more mature, more intelligent, more qualified, more logical, more rational, more objective to want to keep talking to someone they consider less than that.
