A value like what 9% vs 2.44 earthworms? Are you trying to lead into something?
I'll reword it. Which of the two do you find preferable?
Neither. I prefer knowing the truth.
"In what way does that make a genealogical record pointless?"
genealogical
adjective
relating to the study or tracing of lines of family descent.
Obviously because it is not a genealogical record if it starts with someone who is not a blood relative? If it starts with a man who was not really his father then it is pointless, though early Christians loved to reverse engineer prophecies like this making up a lineage back to David, which of course has zero evidence to support it.
That doesn’t follow.
What doesn't follow, what?
It's not a genealogical record if the first name is someone you're not related to. It's pretty simple.
adjective
relating to the study or tracing of lines of family descent.
The words family and decent should make it perfectly clear. If you construct a genealogical record for Jesus and start with someone who is not a blood relative then it's obviously not Jesus's genealogical record is it? It doesn't help if you manufacture a line from Joseph to king to David to reverse engineer a fulfilled Hebrew prophesy, as Joseph and Jesus were not the same bloodline, unless I've missed something important? Two different books allegedly by two disciples who knew him also managed to provide two entirely different blood lines with virtually only the first and last names the same.

Who was jesus father?
God
You first have to understand the definition of "evidence" before you can claim it exists. The easiest way is to present it, not talk about it.
