I confess. I watched about 12

I confess. I watched about 12 minutes, when after questioning and editing the responses of Professor Krause, Comfort boldly declares Professor Krause willfully ignored how the instructions for DNA come from a supernatural source?!!?...and then defends his position relying on the carefully edited opinions, and dubious knowledge of unqualified anonymous "college students". The sheer ignorance and wilful dishonesty of Ray Comfort is despairing.
I skimmed the rest of the vid from the transcript ( I read faster than Ray or students can talk) but there wasn't anything I haven't seen Comfort preach about before, just the same tired unsubstantiated preaching apologetics.

If this is the best you can do FishNChips you have been wasting everybody's precious time, indulgence and patience.

Where is your effort to "communicate openly and respectfully"? I truly am fucking insulted.

Tit for tat. Now you have done my head in with Comfort's pathetic apologetic, try this example of quantum physics to really blow yours. I doubt you have the honest intelligence to watch it all.

Ray Comfort? Pardon my mirth.

Ray Comfort? Pardon my mirth.

The Banana Man went to America because nobody in New Zealand took him seriously. I saw him preaching in central Christchurch a few times, but his credibility and personality didn't cut it alongside the Wizard of Christchurch, the crazy Violin Lady, and the guy in the aluminum hat who spoke to seagulls through his transistor radio.

What's wrong with you, America?

Isn't he the dropkick who claimed bananas were created by god to fit the human hand? I can think of at least one other thing which fits the human hand splendidly. I refer of course to an ear of corn.

I guess it could hav been worse; Little Kirkie Cameron is easily as cringe- making. OR Ken Ham, Australis's biggest embarrassment since Steve Irwin got himself killed.

New Zealanders saw right through him, but the country that put men on the moon seems to take him seriously. All New Zealanders have ever done is split the atom, invent the jet boat, run the Jet Propulson Lab, climb Mount Everest, and dominate rugby. Yet even in this little hick country at the end of the bus route, Ray Comfort never got any real traction. So he went to America and became the wealthy idol of countless adoring fans. WTF!

Oh fuck me...Ray comfort? Seriously?

If you want to be taken seriously on these forums please don't introduce such hack preachers as that third rate entertainer.

But wait...I've read your posts, yes you are exactly the audience that Ray Comfort talks down to and you lap it up.

Is that the best you got? An debunked kalam and a fucking banana man? I despair.

Is that the one in which Arnie gets melted in a vat of molten something? Have never tired of watching that. Unfortunately he came back.

Have you seen the latest one? I fell asleep, and can't be bothered rewatching it to see how it ends.

When are these elderly action heroes going to realise they've actually lost their cred and have become self parodies? Have you seen Star Trek Picard?

Arnie is now 72, Patrick Stewart is 79.--I'm just waiting for one of them to break a hip or their neck.

I saw 1, 2, and 3 and enjoyed them. Then went and saw whatever the next one was after 3 (can't remember the title), and lost all interest after that. I really hate when "Hollywood" takes a good thing and totally runs it into the ground.

I grew up watching the original Star Trek, and I then fell in love with the TNG series when it started. Even went and saw a couple of the TNG movies. Again, though, Hollywood went overboard. Then along came the newest Star Trek movie showing the origins of Kirk, Spock, and the crew. L.... O... V... E... D that movie. I still do. And the second one (with Khan) was also fantastic. But, as usual, Hollywood simply can't leave well enough alone. Haven't seen another one since. I admit, I am curious about Picard, but just can't bring myself to bother watching it.

" I really hate when "Hollywood" takes a good thing and totally runs it into the ground."

Yair, they are especially fond of doing that with popular TV series. I can think of three off hand ; The West Wing ran at least one season too long. I thinK NCIS may still be going. Stopped watching that when Abby Shuto left. Bones became quite lame after Temperance and Seely got married, she popped out a unit and got fat. Yep, I have the depth of a petrie dish when it comes to female protagonists on TV shows.

---and yes, I'm aware Emily Deschanel had at least one sprog in real life, don't care.

The general mindset in Hollywood seems to be to get a moderately good idea for a TV series and proceed beat it to death with a stick as slowly as possible..

In contrast the UK takes a good idea and makes season of 6 to 8 episodes. Series tends to end when they run out of ideas.

PS Liked the original StarTrek when it came out. Although I thought Shatner especially was an awful ham of very modest talent and De Forest Kelley spent far too much time chewing the scenery.

Have loved almost all of the spinoff series, with two exceptions; In Next Generation I kept hoping that something truly nasty and fatal would happen to Wesley Crusher . DS Nine became far too' spiritual' /'deep' for my taste, although I loved the concept of the Trill.

MY favourite save came because people had noticed Klingons did not originally have head ridges and asked Worf. He answered "We don't like to talk about it" . End of explanation. .

)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))0)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

For any who may not have heard William Shatner's rendition of the 1967 Beatle's classic "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds".

CAVEAT: Once you have heard this you will not be able to un-hear it.

"In a 2003 Music Choice poll, it was voted as the worst Beatles cover of all time.[2]" (Wikipedia)

Yes indeed, Bill put out more than one entire album. Mercifully none have been played on air in Australia far as I know. Once saw "The Transformed Man" in a cheap bin for 50 cents , but thought it was over priced.

Mr Shatner has improved a lot over the years. He was great as the creepy MC in "Miss Congeniality " and perfect as Denny Crane in Boston Legal , a grotesque but ultimately sympathetic character. A sardonic James Spader is a perfect foil and true friend to Denny.

A favourite Denny Crane moment: (1 minute 02)

They should stand aside and leave the action to younger guys, like Sylvester Stallone. Believe it or not there's another Rambo out.

Your response contained no objective evidence, I don't think you understand what the phrase means. All you offered was creationist propaganda lies attacking evolution, which of course isn't objective evidence for a deity, even were species evolution entirely reversed or falsified, this wouldn't remotely evidence any deity. You also rehashed the same fallacious arguments that I, and others have already refuted. I'm not sure why you think you can ignore such facts as your arguments containing know logical fallacies, but it is axiomatic that arguments are not objective evidence.

Now, what OBJECTIVE evidence can you demonstrate for any deity?

FYI I ma cutting you the maximum amount of slack here by not insisting you demonstrate objective evidence for the one deity you claim to believe in, and saying any deity, and yet you are still quite clearly holding an empty bag.

I will help you out, and use bullet points.

1) God of the gaps arguments are fallacious, and of course are not objective evidence.
2) Falsifying scientific facts like species evolution would not represent evidence for creationism or for any deity, why on earth would it?
3) arguments containing known logical fallacies, or that are not rationally consistent are worthless, it is not a choice between evolution or creationism, this is called a false equivalence or false dichotomy fallacy.

"A false dichotomy is typically used in an argument to force your opponent into an extreme position -- by making the assumption that there are only two positions."

No he didn't Cog, as is always the case, he responded, but offered no answer, just another post containing a long list of unevidenced assertions, and fallacious arguments.

For some reason as yet unexplained, theists think an unevidenced claim can be validated by another unevidenced claim, and so on and so forth, bizarre.
